Hi I’m Anyi Chong and I’m a 3rd year computer engineering student.

Why this topic?

From my experience of tutoring gen alpha kids, I was astonished by the decline in math proficiency and language literacy. They were unable to count backwards, read the first sentence of a book, or form coherent sentences. Due to these children having prolonged screen time, it affected their attention span and cognitive thinking. When I would look over at their screen, it happened to be Cocomelon. Therefore, I wanted to discuss the stylistic choices that Cocomelon utilizes to make children addicted and offer better educational alternatives.
